Hi, I'm a English third year student about to apply for my PGCE. I have a plan to be living in North Carolina USA within 3 years of being a fully qualified English teacher but I'm unsure about the entry route.

Does anybody know how smooth the transition from teaching in UK to teaching in USA is generally? Is it a case of having to take a whole other teaching course or are UK PGCEs accepted?

    Thanks
