Hi, I've just finished a Maths Secondary PGCE, wasn't sure where to ask, but just wondering if anyone knows what the going rate is supply teaching wise. Obviously this will depend on several factors, but if anyone can give a ballpark figure that I should be looking for, so I know agencies aren't trying to lowball me (not that they would).

£90 a day.
The better you are, the more schools will be willing to pay.
My partner was on £140 a day by the time he left the agency.

Agency supply costs between £180 and £220 per day. Not all of this is passed to the teacher!

Four and a half years ago, I was doing agency cover work (unqualified, the year before my PGCE) and got £65 per day as a cover supervisor, or £80 per day when I negotiated a bit more because they'd sent me on a long-term assignment in the subject my degree was in (so I ended up basically teaching but without having had any training, not good!).
I think NQTs were on £90-110 and more experienced teachers around £130.
This is in the East Midlands. I don't know if rates are higher in areas where salaries and living costs are higher.
