Lu, a mother of three young children, is having trouble controlling her anger. She believes that her children are likely to show aggression themselves if she carries on behaving this way. Lu thinks that her anger might have been caused by her own mother’s behaviour. Lu has given up a successful career to be a full-time mother and, although she has the support of the children’s father when he is not at work, the everyday decisions are her responsibility. Lu visits a therapist who plans to help her by getting her to reward herself when she is calm with the children and to stop feeling guilty about her behaviour. Evaluate the application of social learning theory as proposed by the therapist in helping Lu. You must make reference to the context in your answer.
Could anyone give me any help or tips on how to answer this?

    This is an AO2 question.

What is the basic premise of SLT? (rewards etc)
She thinks her children will copy her (role-model/idenfitication)
She thinks her anger is a result of her mothers (modelling)
Her therapist has put a reward system in place (conditioning/reinforcement)
Also point out that Lu may have biological factors that affect her aggression and you could mention that the guilt could be a a result of her leaving her 'successful career' and not related to the aggression.
