I'm sure somebody on here will find this fun, so... Could anyone please solve this and show the workings please. I'm not just interested in the answer in order to hand in the work either, I'm doing this out of choice but don't know how to do this question so please do include workings! Thank you in advance...

"Solve this problem by forming and solving a simultaneous equation:

At a theme park the entrance fees are £x for adults and £y for children.
A family of two adults and two children pay £74 and a party of three adults and five children pay £141. Find the
    admission charge per person."

    You have 2x+2y=74 and 3x+5y=141 .
Do you know how to solve simultaneous equations?

Can you solve the above simultaneous equations?

Or was transforming the words in equations the difficult part?
