So basically there's a pair of jeans that I've wanted online for quite a long time. They're 2nd hand and in good condition at about £24, but the waist measurement is 25in. I never usually buy in jeans sizes, so I wear a UK 8 (W26). My actual waist measurement is 24, but I doubt I'd be able to fit something in that exact measurement. Do you reckon a 25 would fit? There's no returns on offer.
There's also another pair of jeans that I can order in dress sizes - so I know they'd fit - but they're not the exact pair I'm after (though still not much of a compromise) though they come from a trusted retailer. They're also pushing £50.
I know this seems like an almost laughable first world problem, but which pair of jeans would you recommend getting?

As a good looking bird myself, I think it's worth noting that if you buy a smaller pair of jeans they could indeed fit you and end up looking respectable.
However if they do not fit you then you have effectively bought jeans that don't fit you.
On the point of money, you can buy the more expensive pair and know what you are getting however you can buy the cheaper pair and not know what you are getting.
I hope this helped.

Welcome to the forum.
Have you tried going to an actual shop? You will find there are lots of shops in most towns. In each of these shops they have lots of selections of jeans. In each of these jeans you will find different size tags. You can then select a few which you like and try these on. Buy the pair which you want the most.
