Wisdom Teeth Pain

I saw something on this a while ago - on wisdom teeth pains, and at the time, I had some wisdom teeth pain and it had gone away. But now they are the most painful things in the world. I've been putting bongela on constantly (cos I know that's good for teething) ad I've finally decided to go to the dentist and unfortunatly get them removed.

Has anyone had theirs removed? I was looking on the internet and the after affects look bad, and the things that could go wrong even worse!!! I want to know whether it is really as bad as it sounds or whether there was just a bit of overreacting to it?

Looking up medical stuff on the internet is the worst thing you can do :frown: It always makes such a huge mountain out of a molehill that it's untrue.

I had my wisdom teeth out, all but one. The operation was fine, I was asleep. Afterward I couldn't eat ofc, but once the anesthetic wore off, I wasn't in pain, just discomfort.

I really can't under-rate it enough, my experience was totally fine. Comparing it to another dental operation I had, it was much much better.

But that said everyone can react differently, and it depends on where the teeth are etc. Ask your dentist

Cheers, I always over-react with the dentist, cos I've already smashed my front two teeth in! I just hope it wont be too bad

Theres no point in lying it will be pretty sore to have them removed but obviously worth it in the long run. Remember looking stuff up online usually gives the worst case scenario.

I know how you feel though OP  When my operation was coming up I had it all planned out, a couple of night's on the sofa feeling sorry for myself, rented some extra DVDs even..

It just felt, after I'd had the op, that it was all a bit much for the event you know?

It CAN hurt.. and it CAN be more painful... but I bet it won't be as much annoying/uncontrollable pain as what you have now when they hurt.
