So I'm just starting lower sixth, and I was wondering if I should have a part time job. I'm doing four A-Levels, and I would rather do this than do three A-Levels and a job. I think doing four and having a job would be too stressful for me, but I'm worried about how badly this will affect UCAS (I know people who are doing four and have a job). I'm in a wind band as well... would this make any difference? Thanks

You'll probably be a bit busy depending on your timetable / how it all works out. If all the courses are very intense to begin with I would see if you can talk to your tutor / person dude and see if you are able to drop one. My Sixth Form recommends no more than 10 hours of part time work per week but it's all really how you can deal with it. Good luck

Thanks, so it won't matter if I don't have a job?

I never had one whilst at sixth form, I just focussed on my studies. Doesn't mean you can't have one as it if you save money it could certainly be beneficial if you decide to go on to university.
