Hi, recently I failed my 2 out of 3 resit exams that I took in August! I thought it would be possible to trail these two modules into third year so I rang them up. They told me to appeal, but said it was highly unlikely that I would be allowed to do this.

However, I believe I do have some unfortunate circumstances - one of my family member was hospitalized a few days before my resits - is this an appropriate circumstance that may be considered in the appeal process? I do have evidence of this as well.

Also, they want to know why this information wasn't provided to the exams office, but considering that it only happened a few days before my exam it may not have been possible to provide them with enough information? Will they even accept this because I honestly have no other reason as to why I failed to provide information to them before the exam?

Please give any help and advice!

    Thanks!

It might not have been possible to provide them with all the information, but you could have at least told them it happened. So I doubt that would be accepted as a good reason for waiting till you failed to mention it.

I will suggest you to go to the student union, which is just behind the Essential. Tell them what happened and your thoughts, honestly. They will give you advice with your best interest.
