Try contacting your local magistrates court and getting some work experience there. It should give you an insight into the legal system and courts.
Many law firms don't give work experience to individuals and only give it through programmes at schools/colleges but still give it a try, you never know who could give you a chance!

You dont really need it if you are trying to get into Uni. You are going to study not practice. You can do legal system if you wnat, but I wouldnt worry about it. Toy could also do some vol work for places that give advice. Its not really needed though.

No problem applying on spec as an individyal, they either do or they dont. The problem is your ages and they dont normally have the time to give experience to sixth formers as they are businesses. If you persevere and network then you cna get some though.
