by the looks of it you aren't looking to ask someone out on a date or anything, just their number?

never really thought about it myself. just ask them like i would any other friend

okay this always worked for me till now when they just give first:smile:

Bring up a subject that could be deeply talked about for ages then act like your leaving andsay i need to talk to you more bout this...what is your number so i can when i get home?

But if there close friends then just go can we exchange numbers and they will easy:biggrin:

Well, don't use the word "digits" would be a start :p: *kidding*

Just ask her. She isn't gonna bite. In fact when I meet people, I usually just say "So, what's your number?" and I'm not even trying to chat them up.

Erm, thanks?

Yeah, just trying to ask as a friend, not to chat em up.

I dont mind asking a person for their number, it's the thought of them telling me to do one or something of the sort. I never come strong onto anyone so I guess that shouldn't be an issue. At least I hope not!

Oh, and when girls keep talkin about their phone/text messages/contracts to you, are they suggesting somerthing?

I sound kinda desperate don't I! I'm not... Jus preparing for uni life, that's all lol.

Oh if it's during Fresher's week, just ask anyone you want for their number. It's very normal cus everyone will be exchanging numbers. I met one of my close friends at uni in fresher's week - first time I met him within the next 2 hours or so, I asked him for his number. In fact, that's what I did to everyone. I struck up a conversation, and if we get on, I ask for their number  Texts to follow for meeting up! lol. You'll be fine. Just be yourself.

ditto, its like an unwritten rule or something - the first time you meet a girl during fresher's week or anyone for that matter, you can ask them for their number without looking stupid or feeling embarassed!

a few weeks later though and it becomes much more difficult - so always have your phone on you fully charged

Just ask her, stop worrying!
I hate the expression "get her digits", implies you want to cut her fingers off or something. So theres my tip, dont cut her fingers off and she might just give you her number
from the sounds of it, you've never tried ransoming said girl with a hostage threat, preferably close to home - sibling? send her ur number to call for a make-safe plan of action, then robert is your father's uncle.

oh, or u could try losing the high-heels and actually ask her, einstein

would you get laid? no
What I've done in the past when I hadn't the courage, is told her that if she wrote down several numbers, one of which is her real one, then I could tell her which one it is. After she has written, I pretend to analyse them and pick one (there's no trick to it - just any random one) and then she'll say either "Yes, wow bla..." or "Hehe, nope, this ones mine" - then you can admit to her you knew you couldn't!

why would you do that? am i the only one that doesnt see it as a big deal and just asks straight up? once youve been chatting to someone for a while its not an unnatural thing to do.
I no longer do it, now I just ask bluntly - but it was effective for when I didn't have the courage to ask straight up. I'd recommend you just pluck up the courage to ask her but if not then use my get out plan. It's better than not at all!
