I am currently going to study Maths, Further maths and Physics at A-Level for my second year at sixth form but i was told that an EPQ would also be worth taking.

I plan to apply to Oxford this year doing a Mathematics degree but i was wondering how useful an EPQ would actually be since i feel like i should just concentrate on doing my A-level subjects as well as the MAT and STEP papers.

    Any comments appreciated!

    Dont do it.

Just in case you're unaware, you don't have to do STEP for Oxford.

(It is good to do, though, insofar that it's a lot closer in style and difficulty to university maths than A-level)

See if you can do an extra maths course or something, would probably be more useful than an EPQ
