Need motivation to do stuff! Anything, everything!!

Omg I dunno what's going right now, but for some reason anyway I've been feeling a bit depressed and my room has become the hugest mess ever! Can't clean it, sometimes can't even get out of bed until I force myself like 3 times.

Gotta go home and do some paper work but dreading it and can't bring myself to do it, I think I have depression. Any tips? :frown:

i suffered very serious depression last year whih resulted in a suicide attempt so i can help give some advice as i am now 100% over it and never intend going back there.

you do sound as though you have depression and it makes you feel empty like whats the point is there something in your life which could have triggered this? usually something will have made you this way and it needs to be worked on. if it is depression dont attempt to cope on your own, it will make things much worse you will think to much i suggest you use, a counciller or a close friend open up completly to them it ay be hard but talking will help pinpoint your problems.
you should write down all thats good in your life and whats bad ie the things making you feel the way you do. this can help just remeber time is a great healer do little bits everyday and eventually you will beat depression. just dont let it rule you or take over your life push yourself and use " i wont let you beat me i am going to tidy my room" put on some music some upbeat stuff and have a dance while you tidy even get some mates and some nibbles and have like a tidy party just something to help you realise that you can overcome this but do talk it will help. :smile:

I know exactly that feeling. My motivation is, well, non-existent. I've ended up staying in bed because I can't be bothered to get up and then I don't want to face the world. My room is also a mess.

But I will agree with lil_devil87's advice.
