Hi guys I am going to be studying straight history in September but I don't know whether to swap the modern history module from 1759-1945 for the interpreting Ancient History module.

Does any previous year students have any advice about this decision or tell me what the modules fully entail and whether I will hinder myself by not choosing the modern module?

I'm thinking the same thing! Modern is my least favourite and I'd love to learn more about ancient history, but I don't want to mess up my chances of doing well on later modules if I do end up doing a modern module.

Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one! The deadline is tomorrow so I decided to swap the modern module for the ancient history one! I mean I think you do well with topics you enjoy and i know I really want to study it! I looked at the future modules and there are no modules which are a continuation of the modern module!

And these modules are to decide what periods you are interested in and what you wsnt to specialise in later which is why they are all 'introductions to the period'!
    It's a difficult decision 😂
