I've been told be my college that to study law at university, i don't actually need an A-level in it and to study subject like history, and english so I've picked
    sociology
    history
    english lit
i am not 100% sure what i want to be so I've left my options open, with these levels can i still go and get a degree in law if i want to, and then go on to get a job, e.g, barrister, solicitor or legal advisor

Yes, you can study a law degree without the A-Level. The majority of people probably don't have the a level actually. Don't worry.
History and English lit are pretty solid subjects for law applicants too.
Plus, if straight law is a bit dry for you or whatever, you can also do another degree, then do a law conversion and go into law as a career.

    Good luck!
