I did really badly in my AS Levels and got UUUD for biology, maths, chemistry and geography respectively. I was completely shocked and was expecting atleast two A's a B for maths and didn't care about Chemistry because I knew I failed the exam.

However I have ended up retaking my AS Levels but really want to scrape through to A2. My college requires at least 2D's to go to A2 so I have requested to remark my geography, biology and maths. I really want to do Optometry for university. The only thing on my mind right now is getting through to A2 and I know I would have to retake some AS modules and really want to work hard to get my grades because it is too emotional for me to retake especially at the same place. Is there any opinions on what I should do?

The requirements for optometry are generally AAB~

Ask yourself, are you really capable of getting those grades? I know two people who applied for optometry in some of the lower-end uni's (plymouth and swansea I think) and got rejected despite having ABB and AAB. There is a lot of competition so don't hold your head too high.

If I were you I would find something else. Now or never, don't make a mistake that will cost you valuable time.
