Right now for A levels I am studying Maths, Furthermaths, Geography and Physics. I have done SAT 2s in Maths and Physics. I would much rather take Music at A2 level than physics, but my parents are convinced that music 'isn't a real subject. How do us universities look at music A level? As music is not a proper subject at most US schools, do they look at it as a 'softer subject'?

For US universities, it probably wouldn't hurt you, and might even help. In the US everyone takes pretty much the same solid academic subjects. Music may not be ideal, but it has pluses or making you appear more balanced and interesting.

Doesn't make much difference. As mptnj said, it can only really make you look more well-rounded. Don't worry about it - it won't be an issue
