I was wondering if it was essential to have at least AS Further Maths prior to apply for Economics at Cambridge? Is it okay if you do AS Further Maths in Year 13? Does it reduce your chances?

    Thanks
It varies depending which college you apply for: http://www.undergraduate.study.cam.a...rses/economics

If you work your way through the college websites you should be able to find which only ask for AS further maths.

It's not essential but when I went to the Open Day and the Economics talk, the speaker made it very clear that an application would be weakened considerably by a lack of Further Maths (she even said to not bother applying if you don't have it but I think that's slightly exaggerated). In 2014 and 2015, only 5 and 6 people without FM were accepted out of around 160 total.
