I've just received my AS results this summer and got 2A's, 3B's and a C which I would be really happy with apart from the fact that my C is in English Language which I was targeted an A for and have been producing A-grade work all year. As well as this, I wanted to study English Language and Linguistics at university and I fear that now in my application the universities will look at that grade and dismiss me as a potential candidate. To add on to that, I was told by my mentor that if I achieved my target grades, there's a possibility that I'll be eligible to receive an unconditional offer which is my absolute dream!
Should I get a remark on my papers (both or just the lowest one) because no one (including myself) was expecting me to get a C in this subject?

You are running out of time to decide - it would have been good to get a photocopy first but I don't think there is time now.

get a remark as soon as possible - its not like it will go down to a d (well it depends if its close to a b)
also after the remark you can ask for the script back and see the marking
