I have three really good friends at school (I am in sixth form). We are a nice group of four and we get on well.

What would you say is a good number of people to be in a healthy friendship group?

And what sort of characters should be in a friendship group? I think you need a good mix of personalities.

My group is pretty good I think, you could almost call it an 'ideal' friendship group although I'm not quite sure what an 'ideal' friendship group is.

    Is four a good number?
    Is my friendship group good?
What do you think a good friendship group is?

I would prefer to judge a friendship group on quality rather than quantity. You could have 10 people who all secretly hate each others guts.

I would say it includes friends whom you can rely on, can speak to at any time, that involves a lot of banter but also on a more personal level, such as friends that you can trust and would stay loyal to you.

Haha yes indeed, I agree completely.
As long as you have close, trustworthy friends it doesn't really matter I guess.

People who you can trust, have a joke with but yet know when it becomes too much, have fun around them, no one is two faced to each other

Depends tbh. In college there's like 8 in our friendship group but only 6 of them are my actual best friends from primary/high school who I spend time with outside of college. Everyone in my friendship group are quite similar personality wise which is why we get on well

You're somewhere with a group of friends. One of the friends stands up and steps outside for a moment. For me, the best way to judge whether a friendship group is good or not is whether they start talking badly about the person the moment they leave. :yep:

Sometimes you get into a really good friendship group, but sometimes even that doesn't work. I had a group of friends last year, there where 12 of us in total. however one argument between 2 friends in the group split us all up completely. now I'm a very comfy group of 4 friends, all of which we stuck through the same trouble in our last group. Sometimes it might seem like a friendship will last forever but it might not, just enjoy the good moments while you can and make it all worth while.
