Could anyone be so helpful as to let me understand how this process works.
    (I'm from UK btw)

I have heard rumors of scholarships, not looking so closely at your AS-grades, special exams you have to sit (SAT's, ACT's, ABC's?) and even some kabash (yeah its not a word.... yet) about writing an essay about myself??

Are the deadlines the same as the UK Ucas system or is it completely different have I passed the deadline (please God no..)?

I have always wanted to get into MIT or Caltech.

    Thanks Guys

Any help is greatly appreciated and anyone else interested in studying in the US of A will find this thread extremely useful.
