Not sure if this is a fair question as everyone will be biased, and obviously not many people would have done both specs, but any opinions?

Well from someone who has done all past papers for AQA bio/chem/physics from the previous specification and all the materials available (specimen papers and 2016 papers) from the current specification, I would say that new spec is harder.

The content has barely changed but the exam papers are considerably more difficult for physics - less recall and more complex questions. Chemistry papers have also increased in difficulty, but I believe that they were harder to begin with. Biology has barely changed to be honest, but it's annoying how you have to revise all the topics for both exams at AS.
