Hi, last year I wrote a personal statement to apply to Pharmacology. I was really happy with how it turned out. I have now changed my mind and wish to apply to biomedical sciences. Could i use the same personal statement or are the 2 subjects not related enough?

In the statement i talk about the use and importance of medication in everyday life and how a certain drug affects the body to prevent an illness. Is this unrelated to biomedical sciences?

That seems a bit silly, seeing as you want to apply to biomed and don't know what the course is about.

I'd suggest doing some of your own research and write a personal statement accordingly, which would apply to biomed more than it would to pharmacology.

Drugs and medicines relate to biomed but it's not what the whole course is about. Good luck.

You should tailor it to your course. Yes you do learn about drugs and meds but it's not it what the course is all about. You'll be taking a lot of different modules in a lot of area such as immunology, haematology, pathology etc

The UCAS systems will flag up a duplicate personal statement. Even if the courses were the same it should not be done.
