I've just received my accommodation offer today for uni as I was a clearing student and it's for accommodation I really don't want... I called them up and they've put through for alternative accommodation but my chances are looking very slim at this point. I start uni in a week's time and honestly if I'm going to hate the accommodation I'm seriously thinking of cancelling my offer and applying next year whilst resitting a couple of exams again to boost my grades... I must admit the uni I'm going to wasn't my original preference but I didn't get the grades I needed so I chose this one, despite not looking forward to it at all... Idk, it's just when my friends talk about uni they're so excited and I'm not really, yet I feel like spending a whole year out is a long time, unless I can find a reasonable leaver job for it.... Opinions please everyone. I suppose there's the option to look at other unis/ accommodation through clearing but I feel like even then that's a poor choice due to how late it is and how I haven't been to their open days...

It's an awful lot of money considering you don't want to do it. Would you buy a car you didn't like? Or a house?
