    So im 17 and i go to school everyday on bus and im pretty sure that i am able to use my oyster card until im 18. But im not 18 till next year..... Why is my oyster card expiring at the end of this month???

    Mhm, you should be able to have a free one for buses until after Year 13 - perhaps you can apply for a new one / phone them up to ask about it?

    You'll need to make a online application for a 16+ oyster before the expiry date. It's really simple and super easy.

    Then you'll need to go to the Post Office to pay a £10 admin fee, with a household utility bill to prove your address, passport and you NI number. As well as a parent/guardian and their ID.

    The oyster should come before the expiry date then.

    Because they only last for a maximum of a year. You have to reapply.
