I've just started sixth form and was wondering if it's too early to go to uni open days, as many of the unis I want to go to are holding them in the next couple of weeks (ucl, oxford, imperial, qmul, Edinburgh)? Should I wait for ones later on?

I would tell you to start going to them now. It will give you an idea of were you want to apply to, it will give you a chance to visit them again in the future if necassery and it will give you realistic expectations of how hard you need to work to get there if you loved the university. It's never too early.
