It may sting at first but eventually you're distracted by working on Year 13 stuff and aiming to do the best you can. If you're held back by Year 12 grades when it comes to applying for unis (not saying that will happen though) then a gap year is an option to apply after your results.

It's interesting though, I think you just.. do worry about results.. or don't. (I know it's binary, but still :lol:) and for me I know it helps to be busy as well as to know/remember that it's still possible to do well in the next year.
