Girl i asked out...

Hi friends :smile:

I have a problem at work. I asked a girl out, she rejected me - I only knew her for 2 weeks ( Yes very stupid ) but we got on so well. Now i would like others views on this. Whenever i'm around her, there's always this awkward silence, which makes me feel really uncomfortable, but before i asked her out everything was so normal and we would laugh at the strangest things. I want to know how long it will take before things can get back to normal? or can they...because seeing her at work everyday doesn't really help the situation.

p.s anybody else ever been in the same situation ? Does it ever go back to "normal"?

i did it but i woud'nt say its goes back to normal it jus become less awkward .you can joke about it in future put 'em on a guilt trip if need be.

In my personal experience, it is completely possible to go back to normal - took about half an hour actually. But then the girl I'm talking about is nice, understanding and non-judgemental, so it rather depends on the girl in question.

i dont think it will ever go back to normal
she'll always be weary of sending signals and your feelings might, just stay there
she wont know when your over her so wont know how close she can get to you.

In my experience things never went back to normal, but thats probably because my feelings tended to linger and affect the relationship.

I "rejected" my boyfriend the first time round. Then I explained I wanted friendship and nothing else...and then we got together :smile:

i used to fancy a guy at where i used to work and i ended up kissing him infront of his gf which was funy and he pushed me off and i was like woah but then after that i thought i couldnt show my face near him as it turned out he got more and more flirty but we never got together
