I'm studying a maths degree but am uncertain which path to take. Could you explain the benefits of careers like banking, the sort of technology careers, marketing, any other careers. Any advice is appreciated

    Which year are you in?

Best to look up different kinds of roles of that description online (have you thought about trying to become an actuary?), then looking for experience in that field or something similar.

And if your degree offers a placement year, go for it.

Actuary is a sick job mate, at least that's what I heard. It's so underrated

ehhh, disagree with that as it always ranks highly on job rankings. In addition, it's not even a well kept secret among maths geniuses anymore, otherwise how would I, a mere GCSE student, know about it

Depends on what you're interested in.

You can google to find info on what various roles in finance/banking are and what they do (e.g. investment banking, trading, sales, securities research, etc etc) and tech (software engineering/development, data science/analytics etc etc). Marketing has market research, business intelligence, advertising, account management, brand management etc..

Then all of your management grad schemes, in-house finance grad schemes/job, accounting (audit, tax, advisory), consulting, teaching, research and development, commercial law, patent law.. just general jobs any degree holder has access to

All depends on what you want to do - plenty of info out there.
