I'm currently taking four A2s in Politics, English Lit, Economics and History + an EPQ, which I've pretty much finished.

my predictions are A*A*A* and A(in History), and I'm expecting an A* in the EPQ.

I think I could get the 3A*s if I dropped History, which is my weakest subject, but most of my peers are carrying on 4, and I feel for vanity reasons, I'd like to carry on all 4 also, but I worry that if I do so, I may not get the 3A*s.

I'm planning to apply to Cambridge for HSPS.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Go for it... Do the 3..not 4...no point hanging on a subject where you feel weak on and you can excel on the others. Your grades are amazing!

All I can say sometimes the unpredictable can happen but you never know when it occurs. Hope for the best and I hope your application to Cambridge goes successfully!

Honestly drop one. I'm taking, business, economics and law at A2 and i have so much more time to spend on each subject and truly understand them. Forget what your friends are doing and do what's right for you. There is really no point in taking 4, you'll just be adding lots of pressure to yourself when it comes to exam season

Yeah I know you're right. I think I just feel like I'll be inadequate if I drop compared to my friends taking 4.

I was in the same position because all my friends carried on all 4, but i knew i wouldn't be able to cope

Definitely 3! I did well in my history AS last year (which was the subject I intended to drop) and was on the verge of taking 4. I'm so glad I didn't though, it would have been so much more stressful.

    Did you get the grades??

Do you mean A2 grades? I was predicted A*AA but didn't get that by a few ums in two subjects and more in another. But that was mostly due to coursework, which I got two Ds in so my lack of practical skill let me down more than how hard I worked, imo!

In the same position! I'm planning on applying for Computer Science and I do Maths, Further Maths, physics and compsci and an EPQ...I think I should drop Computer Science since its just added pressure on me but if im applying for it... unis might think badly of it if I drop computer science :/ I think it would save me a lot of stress...i wouldn't have to worry about coursework and two exams i guess... coursework looks tough... Im predicted 4A*s but i doubt ill get it :/
    What do i doo...
