I've decided I'm tired of making the effort; texting first, planning things etc, when the people I'm trying with never even seem to care if I meet them or not. It's weird bcos during school you're with people everyday and so naturally you're closer to people. But now... I feel really isolated especially since all my friends go to uni in our home town and I live out. My uni friends I haven't met up with cos they live far. Anyway what I want to ask is should I care? I feel like so many people have let me down and I don't want to be upset by anyone anymore. Is it better to just start to enjoy my own company? (Which I already am starting too) because some of the friends I've had in the past really don't seem to care anymore

That is life. Changing priorities every year. It is why those who can socialise, but not be so hellbent on making bonds, are the most successful in life.
