Im a bit confused, i recently opened a santander bank account and it states my available balance is 250£. I dont get my student loan until the 23rd of September however i have smashed my phone and would need a new one for freshers. I was wondering , if i used the overdraft to pay for my phone now will i be in debt? Or when my student loan comes in will it just be less? Im so confused.

Yes the overdraft would get taken out the next time any money is credited to the account.
