Hi everyone, so many people in my A level English Lit class including myself were baffled at the low exam grades we received, ranging from C all the way to U. We were taught by the best English teacher in the department and I would confidently say that none of us got an E or below on a practice essay or piece of work throughout the year. However loads of us that had received high A/B grades at As level and in our coursework this year seemed to have performed really poorly in the exam. We all paid the £48 fee for the priority remark but there was no change so that rules out a dodgy examiner. Just wondering if anyone else felt the exam grade they received was really harsh or unlikely? Not saying we are all incredibly smart but it doesn't make sense for the people I know to be very clever receiving such low grades and missing out on uni places as a result!
