    Hi

I previously completed a Foundation degree in 2006 that I received a student loan for. I ended up totally changing paths and am now looking to return to study. Since I am only able to do a distance learning course now, I have been exploring two options. One is an Open University degree course, that I was told on the phone I should be eligible for tuition fee loans for, and the other is an online BTEC HND course with RDI plus the third top-up year.

I can't afford to pay the fees myself so either of these is only doable if I can get a tuition fee loan. So, does the fact that I already did a foundation degree mean that I cannot get funding for the HND course?
