either identify it as a periodic (or some sort of periodicity to it) sequence or find the nth term

Q2 is my favourite ( out of Q1 and Q2 , didn't even try geometry and whatever 4 is )
substitute xn=(sqrt(....)... in the given formula (that's how I solved it) and you get
x(n+1)= (x(n-1)-1)/(x(n-1)+1)
Does this help ?
Extra hint:
Spoiler:
Show
x(n+1)=-1/(x(n-3))

Carry on linking n with n-2, n-5 etc until you see a nice pattern.

I did it up to n-5 but then it got messy, might give it another go though...
6. any tips for bmo2, i can sometimes do the number theory and geometry ones. I've done one recurrence relation one but other questions are out of reach especially combinatorics
