So we've been asked to start making our A-level/AS level options and I want to do: Chemistry,Geography and English Lit (we can only do 3 at my school)

Some people have told me that in order to chemistry I have to do maths as well so I just wanted to know whether that is true or not.
To be honest I really don't think I want to maths at A-level; I find it very difficult and I'm just not inspired by it. If I can't do chemistry without maths I think I'll do philosophy or media...

    Thanks!

There are some Sixth Forms/Colleges which may require Maths if you are to do Chemistry, but I really don't think it'll help much. The only thing it could help with a bit is acid-base calculations but even then, you can pick it up without doing A-Level Maths.

    Thats great news!!
I really want to do chemistry, I don't mind a bit a maths but I just don't think I could stomach a 2 year course of it.
    Thankyou!

There are several people doing chemistry without maths at my college, but there are also some people doing physics without maths there...

You probably could do it without maths but the majority will do either maths (or physics) alongside chemistry since there's quite a bit of maths in it.

That being said if the college allows you onto the course without taking maths I'm sure that if you work hard you'll be fine, just be aware that you may find certain calculations a tad more difficult to pick up, unless you're naturally very good at maths.
