I'm having a breakdown right now because my school careers advisor wants me to choose what to apply for so I can start my ucas application. I'm so scared that I make the wrong choice and choose the wrong course because i was rushed and i panicked and then regret it after my application has been sent away!

I'm only 17...how am I meant to choose what to do for the rest of my life!!?

Choose whatever you would enjoy most. I know it's tempting to think 'what would I like to do for the rest of my life' but don't think of it that way.
Lets be honest, many people with degrees end up in jobs that are completely unrelated to their career, so tbh for uni you should pursue the course you would enjoy the most for those 3 or 4 years.

One thing which could help you decide is to do a little work experience... obviously history is a bit harder, you could ask your history teacher for some higher level reading material and look into relevant career paths, but you could ask to shadow/volunteer with some nurses (especially if you know someone!) either in a hospital or a care home or something and you could certainly volunteer in a school
