The Kite Runner homework help watch

    • Thread Starter

Hey guys, I am in year 10 and are studying The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I have to write an essay (500 words minimum) on the following question 'How effectively does Hosseini present Afghanistan-is it a realistic portrayal, or has it been to westernised?'. I'm stuck for ideas for this question and am hoping someone would be able to help

I'd say it's pretty realistic within the context it is set. The story is set from recollections of the 1970's onwards, based on cultural and religious values within Afghanistan. Also, Hosseini himself is an Afghan and had lived in Afghanistan during his childhood, so this I assume would also influence his writing

Thanks for the input! I was also wondering if anyone had any examples from the book I could use to prove this point
Do I go to The Streets tomorrow night?
