i'm a bit concerned about my mass. It is 52kg or just a bit over 8 stones to ye old imperial people. I am trying all sorts of things to get my weight up but am not having any success. I have tried eating lots of junk food, crisps, chocolates, eat lots in general and can't seem to gain another kilo. I even stopped exercising for a month but to no avail. my height is 5ft 7 so BMI wise i'm 17.8 and am clinically underweight:frown: HELP guys... i'm not anorexic cos i eat so don't say that,

look forward to your tips,

P

if your a bloke then do weights  and lots of protein with those, check out the fitness section << do it, DO IT

this might be slightly better for tht anyway
just in general dont eat junk food tht will jsut make you unhealthy

jsut eat lots of meats/protein with plenty of carbs to go with it, so your body takes it all on...
maybe aim for 500 calories over your reccommended amount

If you're worried, go see your GP. Weight loss can sometimes be a symptom of some form of bodily malfunction.

as for the GP - she said it was normal and i shouldn't be worried about it-but i am!

Ok so what sort of vege stuff do you eat? Like do you have lots of stir fry type stuff where there's lots of vegetables but not a lot of carb or do you eat pasta and stuff? I tend to go swings and roundabouts between the two (also veggie) and although I haven't got a clue whether or not I lose weight I go through spells of dizzyness and stuff (probably low BGL) and generally it's when I've been making stirfry, or having roast vegetables and stuff without thinking about it for a week on the trot - things that fill you up but don't have a lot of substance. At that point I switch to pasta

Also, do you eat breakfast?

If the doc isnt worried, then dont worry! just eat healthily, and you will be whatever weight its healthy for you to be!

yup - average breakfast is bowl of cereal, two toasts, few biscuits with tea, or baked beans on two toasts with grated cheese and tea and biscuits, or a curry:smile: with chapattis of course!

as for what sort of veggie stuff i eat, i eat CURRY! i was born and bred eating curries and i can't live without them - at least one curry dish a day, often two,and rarely three in a day.

i went through a similar thing.

i was about 8/9 stone.

i then went to the gym this time last year and after a year im 10.5/11 stone now.

our problem is out metabolisms. i have a very high/fast one so my body doesnt store fats. someone with a low one will store fat, so ive struggeled to put on weight. guy who have medium metabilisms and my gym, whove been going the same time have put on alot more muscle than me, even thou i go 3 times a week.

i wouldnt worry about it tbh. my friend is a twig, his dad was a twig, and as soon as his dad hit his mid 20's he put on weight and is now "chunky", because his metabloism slowed down.

but i dnt think being a vegan helps =/ cos u r missing out on many natural proteins that meat provides.

Some people are naturally slim. As long as your eating well don't worry about it.

Beach surf babe is right. Some people are slim! And you shouldn't eat such a unhealthy stuff to get your weight up. There are healthier ways to gain kilos: Eat constant healthy food with more carbohydrates (bread, noodles, rice, potatoes...).
Be patient. First your body will have to get used to your new balanced diet. And then you'll maybe get your weight up.
