When I did my AS Levels, I got UUUD (in Maths, Physics, SSD and French, respectively.) I repeated my entire AS year, but still only got EED (in Maths, Physics and SSD, respectively.) My GCSEs weren't incredibly good, either (two As, one D and the rest Bs.) I also don't have anything like DoE.

I'm currently in A2, and I pretty much have to repeat every single one of my AS modules. How bad is my situation on a scale from 1-10, and any general advice?

    I'm in Northern Ireland, btw.

Are you sure A levels are for you, genuinely?

You need to knuckle down and work. You should be getting CCC (at least) based off your GCSEs, but you're getting lower. Just step it up and the problem will resolve by itself.

I usually feel the need to sugar-coat situations like this but you sound totally screwed. Sounds like the most unfortunate experiences you can have at a-level.

Also, what's SSD? Solid state drive? Self-structured development? I googled it and can't find much.

Maybe you should start looking into apprenticeships or alternative courses? Academic stuff doesn't seem like your thing.

don't want to put you down however previous posters are right.

Being a year 12 resitter myself I can say them grades wont give you a chance at a decent university to say the least.

I resat year 12 after getting BUU in Maths, Physics, Chemistry respectively.
and came out with A*B in Maths and AS Economics.
I'm currently doing Economics and Further Maths, with the question of physics in one year after my failure.

When you resit A-levels you are expected to get all A s.
You did not - and neither did I...

    Guess we are both failures

I have a friend who had the same grades as you, dropped out of my sixth form and started again at another sixth form. the guy now has a first in chemical engineering from a yorkshire uni (top 50 overall ranking).
