72/90

Still ended up with a C though (2 marks short of a B), I blame the fact that I did 6+1/2 hours of exams before sitting the Seeds of Evil and Liberals Papers....ohh well, I think I can get my grade up to a high B on the resits thanks to NO ELCTRONICS to revise for!!!! YAY ME!!!!

Hi Leekey, well mine was 85/90 hehe, don't know how though lol, they must have liked it lol. I got 67/90 for my June exam, and 72/120 for the January Exam, so I finished up on 224/300 (B), 16 off an A grrr, I know it may seem alot but I really should have got that 16 in the January Exam, oh well, can't moan lol. I can't wait till this year's C/W ,

In the past I have depended on my ability to go on an slightly deranged socialist rant to get me my A's in history but after my marathon on exams on June 4th, I REALLY didn't have the energy to do it this time !!! I should be OK though, I wont be resitting Electronics because my paper was as near to perfect as I am going to get, this means that I can concentrate on getting my History UMS up to scratch.

PS - Im considering a remark to try and get myself a B at AS (the C kinda ruins my results..lol), do you have any experience of History remarks improving people's grades (I only need 2 more)???

PSS - I took both in June (as part of my June 4th marathon) because my college is sadistic and enjoys torturing me!!!

Yeah, I may actually re-sit my History One Paper as the C is letting me down big time, to a degree that I'm unable to obtain the A at AS without re-taking it.

There have been a few people at my college that have applied/ going to apply to get their C/W Module Re-Marked as they feel that it was moderated unfairly by EdExcel. I myself haven't had a re-mark, however I might soon have a re-mark in one of my Psychology Papers, my UMS were as follows: 90/100, 98/100, 60/100, something wrong with the last one me thinks lol. Even though the third paper was much lower than the other two I still scrapped an A. My Teacher has advised me to get the 3rd paper re-marked to better my grade. The strangest thing is that most people get the higher marks in Paper 3, however I got the higher two marks in paper 1 and 2, strange lol. So anyway to answer your question, yes I do know of a few people who sent their paper's back to re-quest a re-mark last year, and I believe that their grade did increase. Someone obtained 69/90, and once re-marked 74/90 was obtained, increasing them from a B to an A grade for that paper. I would give it ago in considering a re-mark seeing as you are as little as 2 UMS from a B.

Cheers for the reply!!!

I am pretty certain that I will be getting it re-marked now and hopefully I can get the C upto a B without picking up a pen , I will re-sit both papers though because I need to get as many UMS marks at AS as I can to make sure I have a shot at getting the grades for the Uni's I like.

Yeah, that is very true, maybe I'm giving in at being happy with a B, lol, I think I may actually re-sit History One to gain an A **fingers crossed**, seeing as it won't be too much of an increase to gain an A grade. It all depends how the beginning of A2 goes lol, and if I can rely on my A2 C/W to pull me up again lol
