What to drop on a2 for a business degree in the future watch

    • Thread Starter

Hi! This is my first time posting here and only because I'm desperate for answers. I'm currently going i to my A2 levels but remains undecided of which subject to drop between Applied Business, Economics, Sociology and BTEC IT. I got a B in Applied Business, A for both Econ and Soc and a D* in BTEC IT.I wanna go into a business & IT related course in the future after doing an apprenticeship. After doing some research, I found out that most unis do not recommend taking both econ and business a levels together as they clash. Also, a lot of forums said that applied business is considered as a soft subject so I'm not sure if I wanna keep it still. I'm thinking of doing econ, sociology and IT and apply for a business degree in uni but i dont know if i'm making the right decision.Shall I do Econ, Sociology and IT?? or Do applied business, sociology, IT?? or do econ and business and IT together?? Which combination will unis find more attractive?

My teacher also said that I can do an extended project which counts as another A level to give me some type of edge over the others.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!

An extended project is a good idea. If you've done some research and have worked out what unis are looking for why are you still unsure? People on here are unlikely to be able to tell you anything more useful than what you've found out from unis.
