Weed Smoking Housemates Watch

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I didn't know where else to put it.
So I have recently moved into a new house (last week). There are 6 other housemates in this house which were all living here before I moved in. My issue is that one of my housemates in particular smokes weed in the communal living room. I honestly wouldn't mind if it were in his room but I don't feel like I am in the position to say anything as I have just moved in and am 5 years younger.
All of the other housemates seem okay with it and I don't want to cause a huge issue out of it as I have only just moved in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dude, you should chill out. A spliff would help with that.

Fair enough.

Be all "yo man, I don't mind you sparking up occasionally and ****, but would you mind opening a window when you do as it gets really smoky in there and I have asthma? Cheers".

Doesn't matter if you don't have asthma, he'll never know. Open, mature discourse solves most problems.

The downside to this is that for the window thing to be effective really you need another window open at another end of the house, and there needs to be a cross-breeze, otherwise it just kinda... hangs. Factors aren't always on your side.

You could always just bomb in there with your friends like "YO WASSUP? Sharin' is carin' y'dig?"

It's a win-win situation: either you and your buds smoke bud, or he gets bored of you guys always nipping away at his stash and limits his activities to his room.

there's no harm in asking him politely if he'd mind smoking in his room... saying you're asthmatic is actually a very good idea, it gives you a reason to say you don't want the living room/your room to be full of smoke without seeming demanding since you're new
