Just try holding it in, i used to go to the bathroom a lot (especially on a night) and then i just decided to try holding it in and after a few weeks i found that i wasn't going that often (I can go to the cinema and sit through a three hour film without needing the toilet). That said, you should still be going several times a day. Stuff in the urine can infect the bladder wall., if it's there too long.

I suppose that will probably strengthen the bladder just by forcing it to hold more.

Is this a recent problem or a long term issue? It could be that if its a more recent issue there could be a medical problem behind it, in which case its probably worth consulting your GP.

Don't hold it in if you need the toilet!! That can lead to all sorts of problems e.g. cystitis, kidney problems.

There are some pelvic floor exercises you could try out - they advice pregnant women to do them because of the pressure of the baby pressing on their bladder. Google it and you can probably get some illustrations (I can't really demonstrate over the net)!

Drinking more water rather drinking fizzy pop, caffeine etc. as these tend to aggravate your bladder more.

If you squat slightly when you go to the toilet you're more likely to empty your bladder!

I'll let you know if I think of anything else
yes i agree, pelvic floor exercises are the best, but its probably a good idea to go and see your doctor to rule out any other problems as excessive bladder dyscontrol can sometimes be a symptom of diabetes

It seams no matter how little i drink, i end up dying for the loo. I dont think my bladder is very big. Is there anyway of making your bladder stronger and not having to go as often.

Im not diabetic, its always been a problem.
Thanks in advance

Try emptying your bladder fully by pressing down on it when you go to the toilet. If you don't see any improvement, I'd be worth getting it looked about
