The regression equation is 115y = 2550 - 17x, where y is the number of defective parts found, and x is the assembly line speed. You should be able to find the equation to work this out in a stats book.

Hence when the line speed (x) = 50, y = 340/23 = 14.783 to 3DP (answer c)
