    Hi ,
I am starting uni next week, I applied for uni a few months back and had to send in more information about my temporary absence (i was an exchage student in high school abroad). My question is, am I eligible for the tuition fee loan? I have talked to other people who have been away for a few months for an exchange year and it was perfectly fine. Is it assesed individualy?

    Thank you,
    Sandra

They need to be convinced your absence was only temporary and imp[ortnatly that you intended to return to the UK (maybe evidence about the exchange program istelf to show its a regular thing and the intention is always to reurn). If for instance your parents were still in the UK and you maintained links with the UK, then you should be fine. I believe its case by case, but thats because the evidence provided differs.
