I need some help. I have failed my 2nd year of a FdA course 2 times (one through personal issues) this ncludes a summer resit also, I have been told by the place I studied at that I now can't carry on there (fair enough) but I want to go to a different uni, I have a Certificate of Higher Education for my first year, but what I really want to know is if any uni would take me or is that it?

    Thanks

You need to think about student finance. You have used your "gift year", so you wouldn't get full funding if you move to another uni and need to take the first year again. You may be able to get funding for another attempt at 2nd year (at a new uni) but you would need to show evidence of Compelling Personal Reasons that meant you failed. This would mean that you need to provide proof that your personal issues made it impossible for you to do well.

You will need to contact unis individually to see if they will accept your CertHE. Some unis will. However, you need the work that you covered to be similar to the work that the uni covers in the first year - so not all places will be able to accept you.

You could also look at transferring credits to the OU and studying through part time distance learning.
