Hi!I'm about to start an MSt at Oxford in October and I'm looking at the options I have for extra langauge courses. I'm a Medievalist, so having an extra (non-dead...) European language would be really helpful to me.

I've looked at the LASR and OPAL stuff but I wondered if anyone had personal experience of doing these alongside study? OPAL obviously sounds a lot more intense but on the other hand I feel like I might get more from it. I'd really like to hear from anyone who has experience of doing either of these alongside postgrad - is OPAL too much? Will I burn out spectacularly? Did you feel like LASR was 'enough'?

Money isn't really an issue, since I have both a full scholarship and savings, so the additional cost of OPAL isn't a deciding factor for me. Anything you can give me would be super helpful! Thanks in advance!
