Hi, my name's Christy and i am currently doing btec health and social care level 3 extended diploma. I find the course really boring and fairly dull, should i change to btec applied science level 3 or just hope that the lessons will get better? I want to do nursing however if i do applied science can i still apply for nursing or are there any other careers like teaching i can go to with science? Thank you, i need to make a decision by Friday.. so hoping someone can help...

Sucessful completion of the course btec science will enable you to progress into higher education programmes at other institutions or employment. Past student have gone onto study: Biomedical, Science, Pharmacy*, Radiography, Radiotherapy, Nursing*,Podiatry, Biological Sciences, Audiology, Optometry*, Forensic Science, Marine Biology,Human Biology, Psychology, Criminology, Computerus Science, Chemical Engineering and Medicine**. However, if you want go onto teaching (e.g. secondary or primary school) it might be that you are required to study additional A-levels usually two within academic related subjects in order to meet the entry criteria. This is in the same way that an A level student may need to have taken cretain numbers of A-levels or particular subjects in order to get onto a course. It is always best to check with universities!
