    Hello,

I did my A-levels about 5 years ago and have decided to try and apply for medicine but my grades don't meet the minimum requirement. Is it possible to resit the old AQA spec for the units I did poorly in? Don't want to have to do the whole thing again as I did fine in the coursework and the a couple of the exam units.

    Thanks

Depends where to live, I think this year there is a set of as legacy papers that can be sat for the old spec. Not sure if that applies to England too! Look on the exam websites at their exam timetables for next year. It should have the paper you need with legacy next to it.

Okay the timetable is saying AS 1411 and 2411 resists are available next year. Is that the old spec?

It should say legacy... That's what wjec has next to it. There will also be two options for the same exam on the same day and time.

Have you spoken to the med schools? They might require more recent quals, in which case you'd be best sitting the new syllabus
