    Hi

I am a student taking a gap year and have decent grades. I am thinking of working in a tuition centre. I have 5-6 tuition centres where I could travel too. I am fairly confident I will land the job. I am just wondering if someone has done this and how it is like? Do you have to revise beforehand. Just general information thanks

    Hi!

I haven't applied for a job like this, sorry, but I can try to help. When you say 'revise', how do you mean?

    Tuition centres pay quite less
    And require many hours
Find the best one for you

I know some tuition centres work everyday after school on weekdays and from 9am to 7pm on weekends.
So you might be working all those hours if you teach a subject like science or maths.
You're expected to know everything if your teaching up to year 6.
What subject do you want to teach?

    Yeah that's possible
Start searching for your local tuition centres and contact them by phone as its a quicker process or go to the tuition centre directly

    Thanks do you tutor?
I used to but I found a retail job because it pays more
However I did enjoy tutoring a lot more than retail but as a student, you need the money...

I didn't teach for long at a tuition centre (the whole summer)
I taught maths up to year 6 pupils.
The job was easy to get, I emailed the tuition centre and they emailed me back asking me to attach my CV and I got the job. Although, I rather have preferred to teach maths at GCSE level.
(I also taught at a primary school for 4 months although that was volunteering)
